SEA DIVA, whose only previous win was achieved in a bumper at Punchestown two years ago, had some fair placed form to her credit over hurdles and had run second on her second start over fences at Fairyhouse early this month. Held up for the longer trip here, she closed from two out and went second nearing the final fence before getting on top early on the run-in. She stays well and handles this type of ground.

Bryansford Belle, seven lengths behind Sea Diva at Fairyhouse early this month, had finished second over 3m1f at Punchestown in December and looked like opening her account here after closing on the outside after three out and being left in front after the second-last. Pressed by the winner nearing the final fence, she kept on under pressure but was always going to be second best once headed.

Divine Assistance, a winning pointer, showed improvement from her run behind the first two at Fairyhouse, staying on steadily from before three out.

Kindly Oscar had split Sea Diva and Bryansford Belle when third at Fairyhouse. She had every chance but was done with soon after two out.

Cloone Leader, having her second run over fences on her first start since November, jumped up to dispute the lead three out and was in front but being hard pressed when she exited at the second-last.

The trainer of Rathvin Raven reported that the mare had made a respiratory noise during the race and may need to race in a tongue-tie.

Backed from 20-1 to half those odds, CAKE IT EASY benefited from a power-packed ride from the third-last to get off the mark over fences. A former Flat winner for Mark Johnston and later successful over hurdles for Keith Reveley, the winner was contesting her fourth chase and the experience stood her in good stead here. This longer journey also played to her strengths and she should appreciate even further.

The well-exposed Sea Diva has been mixing it over hurdles and fences of late and she showed more like her best form here. Successful in a Punchestown bumper first time out almost two years ago, she coped well over this longer journey.

Kindly Oscar was fitted with a tongue-tie again and showed some improvement on her last run, ahead of former winning point-to-pointer Bryansford Belle, who never looked like imposing her presence.

Rory's Sister, a half-sister to bumper/hurdles winner Rory Sunset, was fancied to go close but looked a spent force before the straight.

Outlaw Princess, winner of two point-to-to-points in 2004, was another leading market fancy to disappoint after an early mistake. She parted company with her rider at the last when well beaten and was soon remounted to trail home last.
