She had been let down by her jumping a few times in the past but there were no problems on that score here and she also showed that she handles fast ground and, as the pace was strong, that she gets 3m well. In contention from three out, she led before the last, which she jumped to the left, before staying on under pressure. Hurry Bob, a three-time hurdles winner and once successful over this trip, has not won since August 2004. Now 12, he produced his best run for some time, making steady headway from before three out and staying on in the closing stages to take second place near the finish. Kerzak, whowas stepping up in trip, showed enough to suggest he can win a handicap of this type. Always in the leading group, he stuck to his task quite well in the closing stages. Silver Pat, successful over this trip at Bellewstown in July, is well suited by fast ground and ran a good race considering this was his first run since September. Always close up, he got to the front two out and kept on when headed. Coin Man enjoyed a good summer last year, winning four times from 2m4f to this trip. Pulledup at Punchestown last month when returning from a long break, he gave every indication that further success will come his way with a better effort here. Soon in front, he only gave best two out. Rose Of Clare, a course winner over 2m6f and favourite following her third over this trip at Cork on her previous start, was held up towards the back of the field and was beginning to improve in mid-division when she fell three out. |
