ANALYSIS: A competitive handicap, run at a fair gallop on this testing ground, saw BE MY BETTER HALF return to winning form under a smashing ride. Always in the front rank, he led four out and kept galloping to the line. His jumping was better here and, so long as he can repeat that in future races, he may be able to score again.

Better Days ran a sound race in defeat, despite racing keenly, and battled to the line. Off his current mark, he is capable of winning something similar.

Claymore came to win his race two out, but then failed to get home as well as the front two.

Backbeat travelled well behind the leaders, but came up short when push came to shove on his first run for three months.

Edmo Yewkay was unable to build on his two previous efforts this season, while Our Armageddon remains well below his best.
