Although he was on and off the bridle a bit, he stayed on strongly after drawing clear with the runner-up from the fourth-last. He's a versatile sort as he acts on any ground, but he goes particularly well here and was winning off a career-high mark. Big Rob ran up to form even though he was a bit chancy at a couple of his fences. He should find a race. Silver Knight goes on the ground, but needs a longer trip and Latimer's Place was again a shade disappointing though this ground was probably not ideal for him. |

TOTE WIN £4.10 PL £1.50, £1.70, £1.70; Ex £18.10; CSF £15.03; TRICAST £38.34 ANALYSIS: This was another affair where the ability to handle the conditions was at a premium. MADISON DU BERLAIS followed up his Market Rasen win off a 6lb higher mark and appears to be going the right way in this sort of grade. He stayed further than this trip in France and he could well improve again when stepped up in distance on this evidence as he seemed to find more when threatened. Big Rob is now on a career-high mark but seemed to run his race and can be placed to score again somewhere. Key Phil was the subject of some support and ran his race as he kept on again in the straight. Roofing Spirit was travelling well enough turning for home but could not pick up as if the ground was against him. |
