TOTE WIN £2.10 PL £1.40, £1.50, £1.50; Ex £11.40; CSF £8.91 Third-last fence omitted on each circuit - low sun. ANALYSIS: Stamina was at a premium in this long-distance maiden, which played to the strengths of CANAVAN, a relentless galloper who basically stayed better than his rivals and had this sewn up from the top of the hill. He should continue to pay his way in run-of-the-mill races at stiff courses over extreme distances and in testing ground. Matmata de Tendron finished with a bit of a flourish after the last to take second, but was never any danger to the winner. Uneven Line ran a fair race but wasa weary horse in the closing stages. Barrons Pike made much of the running but did not help his cause by continually jumping to his right |
