She took up the running shortly after halfway and kept on bravely under pressure despite being strongly pressed by Coolgreaney for much of the straight. She has clearlyimproved from her debut at Limerick in December and looks as though she will prove effective over further. Whatdoyouthinkmac was another to improve from her first run, which saw her finish fourth behind Holly Tree at Thurles last month. She moved into contention approaching the straight and stayed on well over the final furlong and a half. She is a half-sister to some high-class staying chasers and could do better over longer distances. Crackin' Liss was one of two previous winners in the line-up and stayed on best of all over the final furlong and a half. She appeared to have plenty to do turning for home but kept on well under pressure. Coolgreaney was almost upsides the winner heading into the final quarter of a mile and only gave best inside the last furlong. She can be considered unlucky not to have won a bumper as she has come up against some smart sorts. Tiffany Case made a pleasing debut and with normal improvement she could be able to make her mark in this sphere. Alast fence fall denied her victory on her sole point-to-point outing at Bennettsbridge nearly a year ago. Givus A Rose was the other previous winner to take part, and she stayed on in the closing stages but was unable to trouble the leaders. Mocha Mystery clipped heels and came down when in contention, and brought down Rigby. Premium Quality suffered interference from the aforementioned incident as did Media Queen. The latter kept on well to finish eighth and looks one to bear in mind. Sweet Night was found to have been struck into behind. (RM) |
