Pool: @8,583.00 - 23 winning units ANALYSIS: CLENI BOY improved on the form of his first two starts to run out a comfortable winner of this race. After racing up with the pace from the outset, he was going best of all nearing the final bend and went to the front shortly afterwards before stretching clear over the final furlong and a half. The winner improved for this better ground, and Noel Meade holds him in good regard. Cleni Boy will be geared towards a novice hurdling campaign in the early and latter part of next season - keeping him away from heavy ground in the winter months. Whatsabillion ran with promise when fifth on his debut here in February. Having raced prominently, he kept on under pressure over the final quarter of a mile. He should be able to win a bumper. Rare Bob made a solid start to his career, moving into contention with over half a mile to run and staying on in the straight. He will improve from this run and should be able to make his mark in this sphere. King Of The Day tracked the leaders on the inner and having come under pressure some way out, he stuck to his task quite well. He could improve for a step up in trip. Peoples Cause made the running until the winner swept by. He has shown a reasonable level of ability on his two runs to date. Princess Nina was putting in her best work at the finish and could improve for a longer trip. Khair Bar wasn't disgraced on his debut and nor was Joys Island, who looked a possible danger heading into the final half mile. Moscovy'sReturn came down after four furlongs, bringing down Yer Grand and Lady Katie Lowe. Nogra's rider lost his irons after about two furlongs. [RMc] |
