ANALYSIS: TWOSTRONGMEN had shown a useful level of form on his three previous starts and, reverting to bumpers after two runs over hurdles, he delivered on the promise of those efforts.

He took over in front heading into the final quarter of a mile and stayed on well when pressed by Colonel Arthur. This was a good effort in what looked a useful bumper and he is an interesting prospect for next season, when he will probably go chasing.

Colonel Arthur had shown a fair level of ability in a bumper and a maiden hurdle at this track in the autumn. On his first start since November he travelled well for much of the race and made stylish progress into contention nearing the straight. He was going much better than Twostrongmen when moving almost on terms with that rival inside the distance, but the latter's race fitness looked the deciding factor. This was an encouraging effort and he looks a horse with a future.

Hollywood Law was having his first start since January. He challenged for the lead heading into the final two furlongs before keeping on under pressure. He could appreciate a longer trip.

Moscow Girl produced a sound effort in trying to make all the running. She had previously shown useful form on a similar surface and was back to herbest here following a disappointing run at Thurles.

Jamesy McGuire improved on his sixth in a Down Royal bumper nearly three months ago. He looks as though he needs a longer trip.

Cinnte was badly checked on the inside over half a mile fromhome and would have finished closer but for that.

Ford Of Wells probably ran to a similar level of form as he did on his two previous outings, while Glaczer Flyer was putting in his best work in the closing stages.[RM]

ANALYSIS: WINE FOUNTAIN ran out a decisive winner in a race in which the three leaders - Sensible Lass, Arctic Rover and Thunder Alley - soon raced clear of the field. One by one they wilted and Wine Fountain, dropping back in trip after being pulled up over three miles on his previous start, made steady progress from before three out to lead nearing the final hurdle. He will go chasing later this year.

Virginia Preuil, like the winner, had won a bumper. She showed improvement from her first run over hurdles and stayed on steadily from three out to go second in the closing stages.

Thunder Alley went to the front before three out but was reeled in by the winner before the final hurdle and could find no extra.

Twostrongmen, having his third run and his second over hurdles, raced in mid-division and was less than fluent at a few hurdles in the first half of the race. He kept on from three out without ever posing a serious threat.

Masamiyr, another bumper winner, would have finished closer but for being badly hampered by a faller two out when beginning to stay on.

What's Up Doc, off the track since winning on the Flat at Leopardstown in June, was making his hurdling debut and was in second place when crashing out of the race at the second-last. He should be winning a similar contest if none the worse for his tumble.(TOH)

ANALYSIS: JET PROPELLED improved from his debut second at Navan last month to take this in battling style. He was sent to the front approaching the straight but looked set for the runner-up spot when Dul Ar An Ol moved past with over a furlong to run. To his credit the winner kept on well under pressure to regain the lead inside the distance and he should have a good future over two and a half miles and upwards.

Winning trainer Charlie Swan described his charge as a lovely horse that likes soft ground. Plans for the remainder of the season are undecided.

Dul Ar An Ol looked the likeliest winner in the straight, but he was unable to withstand Jet Propelled’s renewed effort. He was second on his debut here last month to Tango Jim and should be able to win a bumper.

Ransom won a Tallow point-to-point earlier this month, and shaped with plenty of promise on his racecourse debut. Given a patient ride, he improved to track the leaders into the straight but was unable to find a way past the front two. He can build on this performance.

Twostrongmen was under pressure before the turn in and was unable to match the main protagonists when they moved clear. He could be the type to improve on better ground.

Imperial Storm produced a respectable effort, but his best chance of success could lie over hurdles.

Whatdoyouthinkmac quickly opened up a lead of a dozen lengths on the chasing pack but her advantage began to shorten with over half a mile to run, and was a spent force turning in. She is capable of better.
