He was 22lb higher than when winning at Punchestown and although in for a hike again after this he looks one who can go in again. Brogella travelled well to lead but a mistake two out didn't help her cause. She was well outclassed at the finish by the progressive winner but she's one to keep on the right side with the fitting of blinkers worn for the first time at Cork working here again. Ballintra Boy was more effective over this trip having failed to make much impression over three miles at Down Royal last time. The veteran Rince Ri showed more sparkle here but about to turn 13 time is probably against him. Macs Gildoran ran well at Listowel on the Flat in September and this run, his first over jumps since Punchestown last April should help bring him along with Le Coudray who kept on from off the pace without threatening at the business end. Yarra Maguire lacked the advantage of experience in handicap company and it showed here. [BF] |
