TOTE WIN £4.10 PL £1.50, £2.20, £1.90; Ex £18.80; CSF £17.35; TRICAST £58.19 ANALYSIS: A fairly competitive conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle. CANTGETON was suited by the step back down to this trip after running well in a slightly better affair over further last time. His rider controlled things from the front, which suited the horse, and some spot-on hurdling meant a lot of these were in trouble at the top of the hill. He responded well from the last flight but it may be folly to get too carried away with the overall form as the runner-up was returning from a massive lay-off and the third home flattered to decieve yet again. Reiziger comes out of the race with plenty going for him, especially as this was his first run for 587 days. He got in here off a mark a shade lower than his old chase mark the last time he appeared but, as long as he comes out of this in the same form, there is no reason why he cannot resume winning ways. Chockdee came there on the bridle on his first try for six months but, not for the first time, did not find a lot and the handicapper seems tohave him. Borora keeps on running well without success and is unlikely to be dropped for this. Calatagan tried to keep tabs on the winner but is another who is not well treated at present. Transit, returning from a break, seems better suited by fences. |
