ANALYSIS: Only a couple of those to have raced had shown better than modest form and they went a typically modest pace for much of the way in this NH Flat race so that several spoilt their chances by pulling hard. Newcomer APOLLO LADY also raced keenly early on but she showed plenty of promise in the way she moved up smoothly to lead over 2f out, and though she betrayed her inexperience slightly in the latter stages, kept on well enough to hold on. She should improve for the experience and is unlikely to be overfaced this season as she is seen as a long-term prospect. Flat-bred Theatre Dance showed ability on his debut, keeping on to chase the winner home ahead of Adlestrop, who did better than on her debut last spring, and point-to-point winnerMaryscross, who did well to finish as close as she did given how keenly she raced early on. Carnival Town and Navelina should both improve for their debut efforts - they are each stoutly bred and shaped as though they would be suited by a stiffer test. Reflector was held up and did not get the run of the race but hinted at ability |
