ANALYSIS: A decent looking bumper with plenty of the bigger stables represented and as they came home pretty well spread out, the race should stand up. WICHITA LINEMAN, a half-brother to the very useful Rhinestone Cowboy, was given a patient ride and scored with more in hand than the official margin indicates on this debut. He has a big future on this showing and connections are bound to eye the championship bumper at Cheltenham next March for him.

Presentandcorrect was flattered to finish as close to the winner as he did, but there will be other days for him.

Balamory Dan, who won at Perth, has now been beaten twice under a penalty.

Aztec Warrior had finished in front of Balamory Dan last time but the roles were reversed here and he does not seem to have come on for that debut effort.

Commander Kev, touched off at Wincanton on his debut, ran well considering this was a stronger contest, while Senora Snoopy was not disgraced on this debut and should improve.
