On his Flat form, he had every right to win this and, as the penny has now dropped with him as far as hurdling goes, there is more to come. Connections are keen to qualify him for the Jewson Hurdle final at Cheltenham in October if there is a qualifier in the near future, otherwise that will be it until the autumn. Able King, a faller on his hurdles debut last time when still in front, once again led them a merry dance and, as he beat off all barring the winner, there is a race in him this summer. Hill Forts Timmy ran his race again and is a fair yardstick in this grade, so the form appears solid enough. Don And Gerry is not very big and found her penalty for taking an ordinary affair here last month beyond her. |
