 A competitive classified stakes in which most of the field met on terms similar to those that would have applied in a handicap.
The front running tactics that paid off for Kings Thought over course and distance last week, paid off again, and he won in pretty good style, always in change in the straight. His trainer, who bought him primarily for hurdling, is no fan of the all-weather and runs him here as a means to an end, as he is simply to keen at home. He is being aimed at the consolation race for the Lincoln, and his improved AW form suggests he will be well-in. However, the straight mile will be a very different proposition.
