After a stewards' inquiry, the placings remained unaltered.

ANALYSIS: This proved a rough affair in the closing stages and the stewards wasted little time in calling an inquiry into incidents before the last, and again after it.

They put both down to general bunching but blamed Russian Tsar's rider in part for the second one. He had his whip in the wrong hand.

THE TINKER MURRAY made a promising hurdling debut behind Manesbil at Roscommon and has obviously come on a fair bit from that. He led just after the last and stayed on well.

Trainer Pat Lally said: "He is bred to stay but I hope there is a good bit of improvement in him because he is not developed at all."

Lorikeet was done no favours in an incident before the final flight and stayed on strongly. He ran quite well on the Flat at Galway last week and should soon be able to win a maiden hurdle.

Russian Tsar, second to Masrahi at Ballinrobe, had problems getting a run before the final flight and would have finished even closer otherwise.

Dulgodti Bob was in the first four most of the way and kept on well under pressure. He has been running consistently well and should soon be able to win a maiden hurdle.

Lorna's Star led between the last two but could find nothing more on the run-in. She ran well over a furlong further at Limerick last time and is another to consider when she next runs.

The rider of Me Too San reported that his mount suffered interference in running and did not move well thereafter.
