TOTE WIN £9.90 PL £2.70, £2.00, £5.10, £8.50; Ex £721.60; CSF £208.07; TRICAST £2185.05 ANALYSIS: A 74-109 handicap with the joint top-weight rated 99 and it was one of those SHIMINNIE who obliged when kicking for home before the turn and staying on well in this ground. Her trainer admitted afterwards that he was frustrated with the balloting system as she had been denied a run three times in the last month but she gained ample compensation when sprinting clear on the run-in here. Ballon Rose raced at the head of affairs for a long time and to her credit she kept on all the way to the line once headed. \Name For Fame, who had the benefit of a recent run over hurdles, was another to run respectably along with Lucky Slipper and Monte Solaro while The Tricky Bricky kept on well in the closing stages without ever threatening and looks in need of returning to a longer trip. Irish Blade, a winner on the Flat for Henry Candy over 1m6f, failed to get into the shake up contesting his first handicap over hurdles while another to disappoint in this moderate affair was No Rows, winner of three of his five races. He was 19lb higher as a result that probably contributed to his downfall along with this much faster surface. Windmill Flyer was reported to be very lame in his off fore, which explained his below par effort while The Cute Won received interference leaving the back straight and lost a lot of ground according to his rider. . |
