The winner, a progressive individual two seasons ago, when he won a Group 3 race, missed the whole of last year, so it was a welcome sight for connections to see him make a successful comeback. A grand sort, he should be capable of building on this. Big Bad Bob, who had the luxury of an uncontested lead, made it a decent clip. Althoughstaring defeat in the face from over a furlong out, he stuck to his task in good style and certainly did not go down without a fight. Persian Majesty could never land a serious blow to the first two, while Royal Cavalier, who had plenty to do at these weights, was out of his depth, and Buthaina was totally outclassed. |
