TOTE WIN £3.30 PL £1.50, £1.70; Ex £9.80; CSF £7.66 ANALYSIS: They went a real good pace in this event and ON THE OUTSIDE was able to confirm the impression of a handicap chase success at Stratford last time when following up in good style. She was tracking the leader until going to the front five out and was well in command after the second last. She evidently needs fast ground to show her best and looks on the upgrade. Bob Ar Aghaidh jumped well on the whole and was outpaced well before the turn for home but stayed on. He looks capable of winning more races over fences and just had the misfortune to come up against an improving type. Savannah Bay had made all on his chasing bow here at the end of August and set out to adopt identical tactics, but was reeled in by the winner five-out and, although staying on under pressure, lost all chance when blundering badly and his rider lost his iron briefly two out. However, he should improve further with experience of fences and will certainly win more races. |
