ANALYSIS: An eventful race, with the class horses Rigmarole and Castlemore let down by their jumping, handing the race to the former point-to-pointer and hunter chaser HOLD ON HARRY, who was inclined to jump right but jumped soundly enough and fully merited his win, as he was there to be shot at from a long way out.

Jivaty, a discard from the David Johnson team, took advantage of the departure of Rigmarole four out to come through for second, but he was a frustrating sort when trained by Martin Pipe and it remains to be seen how he progresses for his new connections.
