ANALYSIS: A fine training effort by Dessie Hughes saw KHAIRAMBAR, off the track because of leg trouble since December 2003, make a successful return here, getting the better of useful hurdler Man About Town, who was having his first run over fences, in what looked a decent race of its type for this time of year.

Twice successful over hurdles, the winner went to the front away from the second last and was always holding the renewed challenge of the runner-up in the closing stages.

Man About Town, another dual hurdles winner, made most and jumped quite well although landing steeply at a few fences. He rallied after being headed 2 out and stayed on for pressure on the run in. He will stay further.

Zum See, runner -up on one of his two previous starts over fences and another with two wins to his credit over hurdles, made progress from 5 out but he was making little impression when he was slightly hampered by a faller 3 out.

Star Horse, twice successful over hurdles on fast ground early lastseason, was making his debut over fences on his first start since September. He chased the leader from 6 out and was a close second, although looking held, when he fell 3 out.

Tena Tena was well adrift in fourth but he ran well enough to suggest he should be up to winning a handicap in time.
