ANALYSIS: This looked an ordinary enough maiden but there was plenty to like about the performance of STONEVILLE, who jumped exceptionally well on his racecourse debut. He travelled well throughout and after landing in front five out, he was clear with the race sewn up jumping the second-last. The final hurdle saw him make his only semblance of a mistake, but it was only a minor one and he won as he liked.

Connections were not getting too carried away, but it was abundantly clear that they have a high opinion of the five-year-old, who won his only point-to-point start in May. According to trainer Eric McNamara, he is unlikely to run again until after Christmas.

Get A Few Bob Back, placed three times in bumpers, had finished fourth on her hurdling debut and she again performed creditably here, racing prominently before failing to make any impression on the winner after coming under pressure before two out.

Rathvin Raven, twice placed in bumpers, showed improvement from her two previous efforts over hurdles and should come on again for this run.

Whatalotwegot, a remote sixth on her hurdling debut at Galway last month, never posed a threat here, although she did stay on from two out.
