TOTE WIN £5.50 PL £2.50, £1.90; Ex £22.30; CSF £15.11; TRICAST £38.62 First fence after winning post omitted on each circuit. ANALYSIS: No lack of pace in this three-miler with Miss Mailmit setting a brisk gallop until beginning to tire and making a couple of hefty mistakes which handed the advantage to Tom Fruit. He looked to be holding the whip hand over HUKA LODGE, but a clumsy error two out from the eventual runner-up brought him swiftly off the bridle and he faded sharply thereafter as the winner powered clear. Huka Lodge clearly stays well and acts well under these conditions. As for Tom Fruit, although he proved himself over almost three miles and on bad ground as a hurdler, he leaves the impression that better ground over fences suits him better. A Few Bob Back did not look happy from a long way out. Miss Mailmit was very weary after her bold tactics. |
