TOTE WIN £12.70 PL £3.70, £3.10, £2.20, £2.80; Ex £189.60; CSF £90.99 JACKPOT Not won. PLACEPOT Not won. ANALYSIS: A reasonable staying bumper and CRENAUN BRIDGE, who had run well in heavy ground at Tralee, showed his versatility by leading over three furlongs out and just holding on. Trainer Willie Mullins said: "The extra half mile helped and he will run over hurdles over this trip plus." Backforemore ran a fine race considering it was his first appearance since his debut at Galway last July. He stayed on strongly and is one for the shortlist next time. Shaker Ridge appeared to be going best of all turning for home but he could not find much more in the straight. His previous two starts were over two miles and it's possible that this trip was too far for him. Scottish Highland ran some decent races last season and this was another honest effort after an absence of well over six months. He came under pressure before the straight but kept on. Cailin Vic Mo Cri is a recent winning point-to-pointer and this was encouraging racecourse debut. The rider of Sharp Sorento reported that his mount did not act on the ground and he pulled him up. |
