TOTE WIN £2.30 PL £1.10, £2.00, £1.40; Ex £7.90; CSF £13.99 ANALYSIS: The going, good to firm and firm in places at the time of declarations, had dried to firm (good to firm in places) on the hurdles and bumper course and firm on the chase course. This was a decent maiden hurdle by Kilbeggan standards and it proved easyfor FEEL GOOD FACTOR, who was beaten at 2-5 over three furlongs further here last time. He led with over a circuit to run, jumped well and scored comfortably. Trainer Pat Doyle said: "We thought it was an easy option last time but we made a mistake because the distance was too far for him. He may go for a winners' hurdle in Bellewstown next week and possibly a handicap hurdle at Galway." Dulgodti Bob kept on well, although without ever looking like threatening the winner. He was taking a slight drop in class and should be able to win a maiden hurdle in the near future. Arc Lemanique also stayed on at the end. He did well to beat all except Dantys Hampshire in a big field at Cork eight days earlier and should also be able to win a maiden hurdle. Jungle King, running over hurdles for only the second time, was ridden from four out and weakened before the last. He showed signs of ability in bumpers and will probably improve enough to win. Knockraheen has been running in bumpers without much success in recent starts but, on this showing, he may prove more effective over hurdles. |
