TOTE WIN £3.30 PL £1.40, £2.60, £8.60; Ex £18.30; CSF £23.91; TRICAST £514.16 The first flight in the home straight and last in the back straight were omitted. ANALYSIS: A competitive handicap, won nicely by DIAMOND SAL on her seasonal reappearance. Moving up smoothly going to the last, she pulled out enough on the run-in to prevail. She looks handily weighted at present and may be able to win again. Pay Attention ran a blinder, trying to concede the winner 14lb. She had every chance at the last and battled home well. Castle Richard made a most pleasing reappearance after missing the whole of last season. He is entitled to come on for this outing and should be kept on the right side for a similar event. Transit ran a fair race, but is a hard horse to predict nowadays. Uptown Lad may be returning to form, while Thosewerethedays was far from disgraced returning from a lengthy absence.. |
