PEPPERONI PETE , making his debut, settled matters when showing a decent turn of foot up the straight. He will have learned plenty for this outing but defying a penalty in these races is not that easy. Pangbourne, fitted with headgear for the first time after appearing reluctant on his debut and beaten a long way, ran much better on this occasion and, as the front two came away from the others , there may well be one ofthese in him. Warlord showed promise on his debut and is another who is entitled to come on for the outing. That remark also applies to who Petitjean who kept on up the straight and, given his make and shape, he will derive considerable benefit for this. Rhacophorus caught the eye in the straight as she stayed on well under hands and heels and is one to bear in mind for the future on this evidence. |
