She was ridden to get to the front and her rider then slowed the pace. He quickened it again three and a half furlongs out and the filly drew away to wincomfortably. Trainer John Oxx said: "That's around her best trip and she will go for a handicap. She is tough and she takes her races well." Summer Cloud, running for only the second time, kept on well to step up on her Roscommon debut and maybe able to improve enough to win a maiden. Mystical Memories made little impression in maidens at Clonmel, Navan and Limerick and her third placing confirmed the impression that this did not take much winning. Take My Lead raced in a handy position and kept on without threatening. This was only her second start so she may improve. Half Pass was also running for the second time. She had been beaten over 11 lengths when fourth of five to Unique Pose at Naas and may be able to step up on this. Queen Margrethe was found to be in season after the race while Thar An Line was found to have suffered a slight graze to a hind fetlock. |
