Kings Ironbridge who began last season by winning the Craven Stakes but failed to build on that platform and had seen the track just once in the past 12 month, showed that he was on the way back with an emphatic all the way success here. Given an uncontested contested lead and allowed to bowl along, he found plenty when Granny's Pet threatened him 1f out. Trainer Brian Meehan said of the winner, "It's nice to see him on the way back after a good break and we'll now be looking at races like the Prix De la Foret for him." |
