ANALYSIS: A low-grade nursery, but highly competitive in terms of numbers. Folkestone winner RUBENSTAR appreciated the return to this company after finishing in mid-division in the big sales race at Newmarket, and he overcame top-weight, an unfavourable draw and a bit of traffic congestion to collar Heaven Can Wait well inside the final furlong. He had travelled well, dropped in behind from his outside draw, but George Baker had to be very patient on him when he was boxed in, and by the time he had been eased out the runner-up had a 3l start on him. He has a bit of speed and should make a nice handicapper next year.

Heaven Can Wait, back at 7f, was given a good ride, but, having pinched a handy advantage inside the last 2f, she was inclined to hang in towards the rail and wasn't really helping her rider.

Nursery debutante One Night In Paris looked interesting here off 65, stepped up from 6f, but the Handicapper seems to have had her about right, as she had her chance here. She should win a small race, but doesn't seem to have much in hand.

Tour d'Amour had run really well in a novice event earlier in the week and did so again. She was doing her best work in the final furlong or so and looks worth a try at a mile.

Go Figure seemed tohave his chance, but Mull Of Dubai was unlucky not to finish closer, as he was handily placed when hampered just inside the last 2f by the weakening Mekyaas, and could not recover.

Pagan Crest was among others who did not enjoy the clearest of runs.
