ANALYSIS: Plenty of deadwood in this claimer, which fell to AYSGARTH FLYER, who responded to the fitting of first-time blinkers. Having missed the break, he made headway in the straight and finally collared the runner-up well inside the last to win going away.Whether he can repeat this performance remains to be seen.

Diktalex looked the most likely winner entering the final furlong, but she was found wanting as the winner came at her late and fast.

Musical City performed respectably, even thoughshe was comfortably held by the first two.

Axis Shield was comfortably held, while Quote Unquote continues to prove exasperating and Mad Professor again disappointed.
