ANALYSIS: BASRA and Camisado, the only horses to have run previously, finished one-two here, with Basra, who had finished fourth of seven in The Curragh maiden won by George Washington on his debut, proving the stronger in the closing stages, having led and disputed for most of the journey.

Camisado, in the frame on four of his six previous starts and fourth off a rating of 82 in a nursery on his previous run, had every chance and was upsides the winner over 1f out. He kept on under pressure but the winner found a bit more.

Addicted, making his debut, was the eye-catcher. Very green in the preliminaries — he parted company with his rider before the start — he was fourth into the straight and, while it took him time to get organised, he finished well. With this run behind him, he should be up to winning a maiden over this trip or a mile.

There was a long gap back to Spanish Blue, who never got into contention, while Hophill Dancer, who vied for the lead with the winner until the turn in, quickly dropped out of contention.
