A well above average auction maiden event for here. NAAYLA, who had shown promise in two turf maidens, travelled well and taking up the running approaching the final furlong kept on well. She should continue to progress.
Persian Peril has been steadily improving and though he could not peg back the winner he stuck to his task well and came well clear of the third. He will get further and will surely win his maiden.
Follow The Flag was third into the straight but soon under pressure he had no more to offer inside the final quarter mile.
Fen Dream was beaten some way but he kept on and there may be better to come from him with time and experience and perhaps over further.
Sparkling Eyes, who finished fourth in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot, was beaten soon after turning for home and she clearly did not handle the surface. She should not be written off because of this run.
Philip Robinson reported that Sparkling Eyes was not suited by the Fibresand.

ANALYSIS: They appeared to crawl through the early stages of this contest, and although seven of the eight runners were making their racecourse debuts, the time was extremely modest.

That said, nothing can be taken away from DIVINE RIGHT, who was front rankthroughout and drew clear of her rivals in impressive fashion. Jimmy Fortune reported afterwards that he felt she never "did a tap" in front, but the visual evidence contradicted that as she powered clear inside the final furlong. She is now being aimed at the Cherry Hinton but she may have beaten very little here and it would be unwise to get too carried away with the bare form.

Novista, a narrow, unfurnished type in the paddock, shaped with some promise back in second but was no match for the winner. He looks the type to do better with age and a Derby entry suggests connections feel he has a bright future.

Follow The Flag was on his toes in the paddock and appeared to get spooked by a passing helicopter. Smartly away, he showed up nicely for four furlongs but was a spent force thereafter.

Victory Spirit looked particularly well beforehand, but he was always parked widest of all and, although moving into contention approaching the two pole, his effort was only short-lived. He continued his trainer’s dismal record at this venue with two-year-old debutants, but showed enough to indicate he could be capable of better next time.

Sepia Print looked in need of the run, while Paymaster General, the only one of these with previous experience, was once again slowly away. He had clearly learned very little from his debut effort.
